THE ONLY WAY TO GROW

Akram Khan was on telly the other night.  I just really love his work and also methodology as an artist.  His collaborations in particular are stand out and he is quite good at articulating his process. He says...

'I think comfort zone is a dangerous place.'

'... sometimes you have to put yourself in situations where you don't know where you are.'

'And being in a situation where you don't know where you are allows you to look at yourself in a new way.  Sometimes to find yourself you need to be in a place you're not familiar with.  That is the only way to grow.'
